May is Visitor Experience Month, a time to learn more about the travel industry’s contribution to business development, employment and overall quality of life.
Thank you Lake County Certified Tourism Ambassadors (CTAs) for turning every visitor encounter into a positive experience!
As part of Visitor Experience Month, Lake County’s travel and tourism community also celebrates National Travel & Tourism Week, May 6 -12. This year’s theme is “Travel Then and Now.” From stage coach rides up the Mayacamas Mountains to military planes landing in Clear Lake during World War II, traveling to Lake County is part of the adventure. Come relax and savor all we have to offer.
Our CTAs are a huge factor in helping visitors decide that Lake County is definitely a destination they will return to time and again! Over 400 individuals have been trained as Certified Tourism Ambassadors since the CTA program was launched in Lake County in 2015.
Being a CTA builds the confidence to go above and beyond with the visitor experience. To become a part of the Lake County CTAs contact the Lake County Chamber or visit CTAnetwork.com. Being a CTA will enrich your life and those you touch as you answer ‘what is there to do here?’

Recreation capital of California, Lake County is a refreshing break from the rat race. The American Lung Association consistently rates our air in the top 5 freshest in the country. Bass fishing also a top 5 in the country. Love excellent wine, off highway riding, art, food – we have that too. Come visit and enjoy!
