InSeptember 2020, Governor Newsom signed into law Senate Bill 973, which requires that private employers with 100 or more employees annually report detailed pay data categorized by gender, race, and ethnicity.

 

Employers must report this pay data to the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) by March 31, 2021. Here’s what employers need to know.
