Prop Wash: A Lake County Wine Reception

Lincoln Barbecue
Thursday, September 14: 1800 – ???
Splash In volunteers Tom and Ruth Lincoln offer their home and tree shrouded property for a complimentary barbecue dinner, complete with wine and dessert to all flight crews who dare to show up a day early.

September evenings in Lake County are usually mild and if the weather doesn’t cooperate, they move things indoors. It might get a little cozy, but the food is great (Tom and Ruth are the chefs) and the company is most enjoyable.

After dessert, Tom fires up the wood fire pit and it’s time to sit around the fire and let fly with the hangar stories and the tales of glassy water landings…..that are always perfect! It’s a great venue for a satisfying meal, entertaining conversation and a celebration of friendship.

The only requirement is that you have to arrive on Thursday or earlier!

Prop Wash: A Lake County Wine Reception
Friday, September 6: 1700 – 1830
Complimentary for registered seaplane pilot and co-pilot; $25 everyone else

What better way to refresh yourself after a long flight to Clear Lake than to enjoy a glass of award-winning Lake County wine, paired with finger foods prepared by our premier local caterer, Lake Event Design. On Friday evening, rain or shine, we treat our Splash In crews to a relaxing wine tasting under the big tent at show central. We invite you to join us and meet new people as well as greet old friends and fellow pilots for a couple of hours of decompression and relaxation.

We grow wonderful grapes in Lake County and make some of California’s tastiest wines, many of which have won top honors from state and national wine competitions. And Lake Event Design’s executive chef, Jeff Havrilla, always puts on a satisfying food display that sets the stage for an enjoyable visit to one of our local restaurants.
